I believe that the impact of Mechanical Engineering is yet to be discovered. New technology is being invented/discovered daily, and the need for those engineers will stay in demand to build these discoveries. Mechanical engineering is such a unique field that it incorporates almost every other engineering field, we can solve any problem and create future solutions. Without mechanical engineering, there would be no engines, elevators, cars, or even our ACs in Texas summers. And I want to contribute to the complex world of solving almost unsolvable problems because I think it's fun. I could only think about 2 main places I wanted to visit which were the MIT and Harvard engineering museums, therefore a lot of this project was research for me. I found out that mechanical engineering has roots that trace back to ancient civilizations where Egyptians for example, developed intricate systems of levers and pulleys to construct massive structures. I also found out about how mechanical engineering studies are being updated often because of how many discoveries impact the daily life of mechanical engineers. So, mechanical engineers want students in college to learn up-to-date engineering skills and lessons. All in all, I am now a little jealous of civil engineers and architectural engineers because they get to show off so much to the public. And I can see why other engineering fields are underappreciated.
